Do you give up the yard to get better software?

No. The difference is how many systems the same day takes.

Yard job Today
Sell bulk by the cubic yard A SKU for the full yard, one for the half, one for the contractor price. One product, every unit, every tier.
Check out at the pile Pay inside, drive around, hand the loader the receipt. A tablet and a card reader at the loader.
Run the day's deliveries A whiteboard, or a dispatch app that doesn't know what was sold. Scheduled from the sale, stops on the driver's phone, a photo at the drop.
Keep contractor accounts Handwritten tickets, re-keyed into QuickBooks the next morning. Charged at the counter, statements that run themselves, the Customer app to pay.
Take cards A terminal beside the register that never sees the sale. Processing built in, with card on file, ACH, and a surcharge toggle.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS for a landscape supply yard?
Rundoo is the AI-first POS for independent landscape supply yards: bulk by the cubic yard, the ton, or the bag, pickup and contractor prices on one product, deliveries run from the sale to the driver's phone, landscaper accounts with statements and an app to pay them, and integrated payments, in one cloud system.
Can Rundoo sell mulch, soil, and stone by the cubic yard?
Yes. Each product carries the units you sell it in and converts between them: a cubic yard, a ton, a bag, or a decimal quantity like 1.5. Stock and cost follow the base unit.
How does Rundoo handle deliveries?
Schedule the delivery from the sale. Drivers see their stops in the Staff app, navigate from the app, mark each stop delivered, and collect a signature and photos. Customers get a text at each step. See how deliveries work.
Does Rundoo replace dispatch software for a big fleet?
Not yet. Rundoo runs the delivery from the sale to the signature, and that covers a yard with a few trucks. If you run fifteen trucks off a one-day board with time windows and live maps today, Rundoo doesn't replace that board yet, and we'll say so on the first call.
Can a customer pay cash on delivery?
Yes. Stage the sale as a will call, schedule it for delivery, and tender it when the driver is back with the cash or the check.
Can I check customers out at the loader?
Yes, on a tablet. Rundoo runs in the browser on an iPad with a card reader. The Staff app on a phone looks up stock and prices, counts, and receives, but does not ring a sale yet.
Can I surcharge credit cards?
Yes. Set one card surcharge rate for the company, up to 4 percent. It applies to card payments only, so the accounts that pay by ACH or check never see it.
Does Rundoo connect to my suppliers?
Orgill and Blish-Mize are wired in for the hard goods inside: catalog, EDI ordering, receiving, and price changes. Techo-Bloc, Unilock, Belgard, and the quarries are not integrated today; purchase orders go out by email from Rundoo and are received by scan. See the Orgill integration.
What about the plants?
The nursery side runs on the same system. See Rundoo for garden centers.
Can Rundoo run more than one yard on one system?
Yes. Dozens of multi-location businesses run on Rundoo, with inventory, accounts, and reporting shared across every location, and a yard can sell from another location's stock while working the sale.
How much does a landscape supply POS cost?
One software subscription plus integrated payments through Stripe, scoped to your locations, registers, and the parts of the platform you use. See how Rundoo pricing works.
