Buy by the unit. Sell by the piece, the foot, or the thousand.
One SKU carries every unit your yard uses. Rundoo does the conversion, the pricing, and the math.
01Units
One SKU, every unit.
Define the units your yard counts in once. Each product carries its own conversions.
- A company list of units: EA, PC, LF, BF, MBF, unit, pallet, anything you count
- Per-product conversions, each with a factor back to the base unit
- A default unit for each flow: stocking, pricing, sale, order, transfer
- Units arrive with the vendor catalog, or by CSV import
02Pricing
Price per MBF. Ring per piece.
The pricing unit and the sale unit are two settings, not one.
- Price a product per MBF and sell it by the piece
- Link a unit to the base price and every tier follows the conversion: $4.99 a piece is $935.63 per MBF
- Give a unit its own price when the market says so
- Let the counter switch the pricing unit on a sale, when you allow it
- Quantity breaks by unit
03Tally
Tally mixed lengths on one line.
Enter the pieces and lengths. Rundoo does the math.
- Pieces × length per row, as many rows as the load has
- Three tally types: length, length plus width, and area
- The total lands in the product's unit; the breakdown stays on the ticket
04Decimals
Decimals when the material demands it.
14.7 feet of decking is 14.7, not 15.
- Decimal quantities are a switch on the product, not a company-wide rule
- Whole-number conversions where the unit demands them
- Counts, receiving, and transfers in the stocking unit
Frequently asked questions
How does Rundoo handle board feet?
Board feet and thousand board feet are units like any other. Add BF and MBF to your unit list, give the product a conversion from the piece, and price or sell in whichever one the deal calls for. For the math behind the units, see the board foot calculator.
Can I price per MBF and sell by the piece?
Yes. Pricing and sale are separate default units on every product. Set pricing to MBF and sale to the piece, and the price on each piece follows the conversion.
What is a tally product?
A product with Tally turned on. At the counter, the line opens a tally: pieces and lengths per row, as many rows as the load has, totaled in the product's unit. Three tally types cover length, length plus width, and area.
Can one product carry more than one unit?
Yes. A product has one base unit and any number of conversions, each with a factor back to the base. You can stock in one unit, price in another, sell, order, and transfer in others.
