## Why we keep hiring interns

Everything we do at Rundoo, from the strategy we set to the product we ship, is downstream of who is on the team. That belief sits at the center of how we run the company, and it is exactly why we keep investing in engineers who are early in their careers, even when the rest of the industry is busy convincing itself that only senior people matter.

Here is the thing we actually believe: skills are teachable, character is not. We hire for drive, curiosity, and the instinct to make the people around you better, and then we hand you real work and the support to do it well. A four-month term is long enough to ramp on our codebase, ship something customers depend on, and find out together whether Rundoo is where you want to build your career. Plenty of our full-time engineers started exactly this way.

Rundoo is an all-in-one ERP for independent supply stores, spanning point of sale, CRM, inventory, payments, and accounting. The team is small and the product is broad, which means there is more than enough real work to go around, and you will touch a lot of it.

The Waterloo fit

## We hire engineers from Waterloo on purpose.

The University of Waterloo co-op model alternates four-month school terms with four-month work terms, so by their fifth or sixth co-op, students arrive with a high floor and ramp on a new codebase fast. We treat a term as an extended, two-way interview where both sides get real signal over a real product cycle, and turning strong interns into full-time engineers is our primary hiring strategy. You do not need to be a Waterloo student to apply, but you should expect the bar a Waterloo co-op sets.

Where is the internship based?

Our engineering team works out of our Redwood City office, and that is where interns are based too. Expect to be in the room with the people you are building alongside.

Is there a path to full-time?

Yes. Turning strong interns into full-time engineers is our primary hiring strategy, and we would be thrilled for that to be you.
